Fresno State had 572 yards of total offense in a 55-13 rout of Hawaii at Valley Children’s Stadium last Saturday.
The Bulldogs scored the first 55 points of the game.
Jake Haener completed 24 of 29 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns for the Bulldogs.
Jalen Moreno-Cropper led the receivers with five catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns.
Jordan Mims had a nice day running the ball with 123 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown.
Cameron Lockridge intercepted a pass and returned it 31 yards for a touchdown against his former team.
It was the fourth consecutive win for the Bulldogs who are 5-4 on the season with a 4-1 Mountain West record.
The 42-point loss was the second largest ever against Fresno State. Hawaii lost by 56 points to the Bulldogs in 2004.
Matthew Shipley missed his first ever extra point attempt after Fresno State blocked his fourth quarter attempt. He previously converted all 87 of his career extra points.
Blessman Ta‘ala has played in 61 consecutive games and has not missed a game since joining the team in 2018.
The Rainbow Warriors were shutout in the first half for the third time this season. 31 points was the largest halftime deficit for Hawaii this season since trailing 42-0 against Michigan.
Hawaii had gone four games without allowing a passing touchdown. Haener’s touchdown pass in the second quarter broke that streak.
Fresno State’s 327 passing yards were the most by an opponent this year. Haener’s 59-yard scoring strike to Moreno-Cropper in the third quarter was the longest pass play Hawaii has allowed this season.

Fresno State held its opponent to zero points in the first quarter for the third time this season.
Lockridge’s interception return for a touchdown was the first defensive touchdown for Fresno State since the season-opener in 2021 against UConn.
Fresno State held its opponent scoreless in the first half for the first time since Nov. 13, 2021 against New Mexico.
Haener tossed his 16th career 300-yard passing performance. His four touchdowns were a season-high.
Mims is up to 36 career touchdowns with 28 rushing scores. He is sixth all-time in career touchdowns, and tied for eighth all-time in rushing touchdowns.
David Perales had a sack in the game, bringing his season total to 8.5. He has 19.5 career sacks which is tied for eighth in program history.
Carlton Johnson became the 12th Bulldog to record a sack this season.
