“Loved the campus. Everyone was super friendly. Got to hear about the stadium and practice facility expansion. And the move to the AAC. Growing up an ECU fan I understand what that means. Got to speak with Coach Carney before the game. He said that he was focused on his 24 QB now and I was high in his list. He will be making a trip to Raleigh during one of our home games in the next few weeks. He wants to keep in touch”.
Jayden Ferguson – OLB, 5’11” 195 (No. 22 LB, No. 158 Overall), Millbrook HS. Jayden has made 30 tackles for a 5.0 tackles per game average, 7 of the tackles were for losses. He is one of the leaders on one of the state’s top defensive units. Jayden’s overview of his unofficial visit this past weekend.
“Hey coach Ed, I enjoyed riding down to Charlotte and upon arrival it was great to be shuttled to the stadium and football building in Charlotte. Immediately being met at the doors by the football staff was great. Made me feel like they were excited to have me there. My dad was impressed with the level of detail that went into the activities. I enjoyed the facilities and what the university and football program had to offer me as a student athlete. Grades and how I perform are very important to me and my family, so I liked how the head coach came in and spoke about when players come into the program, they care about raising men to become great men and good fathers. I did not obtain an offer, but I hope to secure one from a program when the time is right. Game day operations team was great with providing ways to see and be around players on the field. It was great to see my former teammate and current 49er Jaylen Donaldson also. I am looking forward to hearing from the coaching staff for future visits and communications. Hope to see them at one of our conference games also”.
